Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using RuleScope ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RuleScope is a Zendesk app that analyzes your trigger configurations for conflicts, dead rules, and other issues. The Service operates entirely within your Zendesk instance and does not transmit your configuration data to external servers.

3. Subscription & Billing

RuleScope is offered as a paid subscription through the Zendesk Marketplace. All billing is handled by Zendesk via Stripe. By installing the app, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented during installation.

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly per account
  • A free trial period may be offered for new installations
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time by uninstalling the app from Zendesk
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Service solely for its intended purpose: analyzing and debugging Zendesk trigger configurations within accounts you are authorized to manage. You must be a Zendesk administrator or have appropriate permissions to install and use RuleScope.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product
  • Share your subscription access with unauthorized third parties
  • Attempt to bypass any access controls or subscription restrictions

5. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Service processes your Zendesk configuration data locally within your Zendesk instance for analysis purposes. We do not store or transmit this data externally.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by RuleScope and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the Service or its content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the analysis results will be complete or accurate. The Service provides recommendations, and you are responsible for reviewing and applying any changes to your Zendesk configuration.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RuleScope and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the app from your Zendesk instance. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
